Jerryd Bayless at Rookie Photo Shoot Day

I don't know about you, but Rookie Photo Shoot Day is one of my favorite days of the offseason. Bright-eyed rookies, not yet beaten down by the rigors of an 82 game season, strike somewhat unnatural poses in front of equally unnatural backdrops. For what purpose? I'm not entirely sure. It's just a little taste of the hazing they'll soon be receiving from their veteran overlords. Welcome to the Association fellas!

Below are Jerryd Bayless' glamor shots, which are actually pretty decent. If you've always wanted to know what he would look like dribbling in a sky full of altocumulus clouds, then today is your lucky day.

Jerryd seems extremely serious. Is there anything you can do to put a smile on his face? His expressions are all the same in every shot.

He's smiling in this pic:

But you're right Benny, Bayless isn't much for smiling. He's serious all the time. He's the most consistently intense athlete I've ever been around.

I tried to crack a few jokes with him on a van ride back to the hotel in Vegas, and I didn't get so much as a chuckle. Not that my jokes are all that funny, but come on rook, give me something!

You mean besides the first one where he is smiling happily in the clouds? Guy is serious, nothing wrong wit that, it will translate to greatness on the court. And i can't say enough about his choice of shoes. Look at the last picture, they match his uni to perfection, even white stripes going across the tongue just like the white stripes on the Blazer Jersey. Fabulous!!!!

I imagine a championship could put a slight grin on his face? Maybe?
