That was no fun

You know what happened. And if for some reason you don't, avoid finding out. Keep telling yourself the NBA switched on the fly to an 81-game season.

But it's just one game. Think about that as we wait for a chance to get back on the court Sunday against the Raptors. And hey, we're 3-1 on an East coast road swing, and at worst, we end 3-2. That's good news, regardless of what happened in Boston.

So if you've got something you want to get off your chest, let's hear it. But try to keep it somewhat constructive.

  1. The struggling sixers beat detroit tonight. Our first win there doesn't look as big anymore. its still a win... a win is a win...

The first quarter looked great... we looked competetive. Greg came out, joel had a good couple of minutes... but they should have brought greg back in. The whole feel of the game changed when he was gone and they got too many easy shots in low and we couldn't get our spacing and offense right. it was stagnant. People looked overwhelmed... i think they put too much emphasis on this game. cause like you said, its just another game in the end. the opponent doesn't matter as long as you have enough wins at the end of the season.

this game wasn't the test... we're not going to win in boston. I'm sorry, but thats like saying someone's going to come into our house and win. the real test will be how they respond in toronto.

    good luck guys.

  2. Heres something constructive. You. Casey. Go up to the blazers. any blazer really. and tell them that their own fans are questioning their manhood. tell them that. not because they lost, because hey bostons a good team and the defending champs. but because our blazers seemingly aren't learning anything from these now regular beatdowns and embarrassments by douchebags like KG every year. If you don't toughen up and hit them back, then you're just gonna be punks. You know its bad when this is coming from your own fans, but it needs to be said.

  3. Bayless got major burn in the fourth and we didn't roll over and die, he looked semi-good for a rookie with no experience..... FUTURE!!!

  4. Im a die hard Blazers fan and just let me say, this was a good game. You might be thinking why is this fool saying good. Ya we lost and losing sucks, but even the best loose some. We kept it close while shooting terrible. The bench made the Celtics starters come back into finish. All that Im trying to say is that this game was the best to learn from. Dont forget that the Celtics are reigning champs. We are still first in the NW division and second in the West. Let these Blazers learn from this so they can be the dominate team no one thinks can make it. GO BLAZERS!

  5. I was some what disapointed in there play tonight. Boston had way to many opened shots, but then again thats why they are the best out there. this was a great test for the Blazers and no doubt they know where they need to work. The Blazers are still the best to me. I was more disapointed in the ESPN guy who completly ignord the blazers forth quarter comeback. The Blazers diserve much better then that.GO BLAZERS

  6. I'm not worried at all. I didn't expect Portland to win this game like I did against the Wizards and Knicks. I was encouraged once again by Oden's play. Made two nice moves to get under the hoop. This time pump faking. Now he needs to get quicker and fight for position ender the hoop more.

He is slowly learning. Some one has got to get to Nate and tell him to start playing Bayless. You can see his improvement already. He was getting to the rim with out turning it over and hit a jumper off the dribble. I will pray tonight Bayless can get some serious run in the Orlando game.

  8. Living with a Celtics fan I had to hear about it all night, but if there were some postives it was that we never gave up like usual, and that Bayless played some good minutes, I would like to see Bayless play some more minutes, no offense to Sergio, but maybe Bayless could have those minutes...

  9. i think mcmillan gave them the win tonight. we started to pull within range in the 4th, they have to put in their starters, so we send in ike diogu to finish? where was brandon/LA/the pryz? on the bench.

at least bayless showed he wanted it, getting some clutch shots in. and to keep it positive, i think he should be rewarded, but portland HAS to finish strong and not just throw in the towel like that. we're going to play bad games(see the two previous) but we can't give up at the end, and that's exactly what nate did.

  10. How's this for constructive: We need an addition to the team (hopefully our impending free agent) that doesn't lose their head on national television. Someone who is not such a head case. How's Kris Bosh? I like him. We'll see tomorrow morning.

  11. Boston was built to win now, they have 3 superstar who did nothing with their own teams. Our team has been together for 21 games. Let Boston have their time, give it two years and we are going to make people cry. ODen is still a rookie, Rudy still a rookie, Roy and LA are still figure out how to be the stars every night... NO Marrtel WEbster, we should not be sad....it is a journey not a One game season. I just hate to be boston in Portland....because they are going to hear it from me.....

    Go Blazers....start another streak!

  12. Unfortunately, this game looked over before it began. There seemed to be no real adjustments happening in-game and the true attitude was revealed post-game. "Boston is the better team." I can't read the team's mind before the game, but I'd say the chance is probably 75% they went in with that mindset, and you're just not going to win thinking that way. Also, I don't blame McMillian, and I wasn't a Bayless fan until last night where I actually saw him RUN the team effectively (Garbage time, I know, but that's when you EXPECT players who think they're good to go one-on-one, and he stayed within the game plan and played point guard. Impressive), but I'm still onboard. This is going to be a fun ride, and there will be more nights like Chicago and very few like Boston in the future. It's just that confidence talk from Roy has to be more than just talk in the future. It'll come. I'm excited! Peace.

  13. At last Jerryd Bayless, thank you. He is exactly what we need. The nba is a penetration sport and he can do it at will and jumper looked pretty too. Its bayless time!!!

  14. Great first quarter. Great last five minutes. The killer was not scoring for ten minutes. I hope they use the game as a learning experience; they will.

As far as KG goes, I already didn't like him, but now he's my least favorite player ever. Worse than Kobe. Worse than the "Shogun" Shaq. I just hope that he is in the league long enough to become the slow old guy; then Lamarcus, Brandon, and Greg can school him into retirement, and stand over him and say "Remember Us?" They should have put Ike in to start the 3rd for some "undercutting KG" action. LOL

Seriously though, I think the game on December 30th will yield different results.

(Oh yeah, and while the team does need better transition defense, Van Gundy could catch a nasty skin ailment on his head and I wouldnt care.)

  15. Here's constructive criticism: JERRYD, when KG gets on all fours and starts crawling in front of you like a dawg, fire that ball at his face. You dont play anyway so who cares if you get suspended. Someone needs to put KG in check and beat his @$$. I would like to see Greg give him an elbow instead of picking up little ticky tack fouls on guards, HURT SOMEONE!!! No one respects us and thinks we're soft, and NOW I understand why.

  16. If you are a true Blazer fan not just someone who jumps on the bandwagon every time we have a good winning streak then you aren't going to be too discouraged by this game. I mean let's be real for a second, we were playing the NBA champions in their house, and they had an 18-2 record going into this game. The Celtic's are good and realistically I never thought we would win this game. I knew we had potential to but I didn't honestly think we would actually win it.

It's one game, just one. We have plenty more to go out and kick some butt, and continue to show the league that we are here to stay. It may not have been our best performance of the season but hopefully we will do some learning from it.

    Let's go Blazers!
