Bill Simmo...Well, let's put this in perspective... Bill Simmons has gotten us to link to his posts and talk about him on the Blazers website. From his perspective, he has been successful in getting our attention. Now since he'd probably be boosting car stereos from a parking lot if he wasn't writing shlock on a team he knows nothing about, we may as well feel happy that we've kept someone off the street... But seriously, Bill Simmons doesn't like the Blazers...never has, and I guarantee he writes stuff like this to get under our skin (and to get us to continue to read his stuff). The more we respond to this guy (who I actually like to read, as long as he doesn't mention my Blazers)the more he will write stuff like this. Ban the "Sports" guy (ironic name, for a dude who probably managed his middle-school basketball team)! PS: please insert your favorite four letter word wherever I used the word 'stuff'.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16459296369800281264noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6708814052129381665.post-30419877932983049442008-02-22T17:34:00.000-08:002008-02-22T17:34:00.000-08:00I agree, good post. You should print it out with a full ream of paper, fly to boston and beat him with it - then maybe he will get the picture.Colinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09959313146094295202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6708814052129381665.post-71394532021455659572008-02-22T15:37:00.000-08:002008-02-22T15:37:00.000-08:00Keep in mind that Simmons was one of the many writ...Keep in mind that Simmons was one of the many writers out there making the Sam Bowie jokes when Oden had surgery. In fact, he wrote a whole frickin long article about it. Simmons is not a serious sports writer, he is a sports humourist. And, for that reason I acknowledge his writing as a joke since he is a joke of a writer.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18226930416178426153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6708814052129381665.post-13562257850760745602008-02-22T15:21:00.000-08:002008-02-22T15:21:00.000-08:00Thank you Casey! I completely understand that it's impossible to be intimate with every team, but that's still no excuse for lazy speculation. If you don't have something informative ad accurate to say, leave the blog blank.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6708814052129381665.post-17139207246631369432008-02-22T14:18:00.000-08:002008-02-22T14:18:00.000-08:00Hey,Great post, it isn't a waste of time. Fot thos...Hey,

Great post, it isn't a waste of time. Fot those who don't watch the Blazers every night, the NBA and Media use these nifty things called "Stat sheets" and now there is even..."gasp" ...live video of players and teams. Being a fan of the Blazers isnt irrational...what is irrational is his innability to read a stat sheet or watch film. As a sports columnist I assume he has more access than most would to these resources.

I guess, if I look at the performance of one of our BEST players, I can objectively say LA is not at his best right now. Scary that mediocrity for him is 17 ppg... But, it is only his 2nd NBA season and he has put up some of his best numbers against the West's best including Tim Duncan and Carlos Boozer. LaMarcus is going to be an allstar...he has so much potential and he is surrounded by a great coaching staff that obviously helping him develope his game. Also, he has a whole lot of guys here in the West to look at and learn from.

Lastly, in 5 years when LA is 27 (omg ancient) , G.O. is 25 (grandpa) and BRoy is 28(aged vet.) our team is going to be REALLY good, where will the Celts be in 5 years...?LaPrincipessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04031782326830131503noreply@blogger.com
